Har Din Har Ghar Ayurved, a very simply/ easily available medicine, if you call it medicine !! But as a home kitchen remedy or a food item its in every home – yes it is Til – Sesamum indicium. ..Sesame seeds.

1. In Kerala, there is a famous tradition..which is to be given to girls who become ladies… I mean puberty..
The formula is simple :
combination of til sesame, about 10 to 15 grams, 2 to 3 grams of dry ginger powder and about 5 to 10 grams of jaggery made as laddu. It has a great effect, not just because of the estrogen aspect of it, but for very good reproductive health aspects.

Special note : NB
This can be consumed as a regular snacks through out teen age period with caution of not over consuming to cause any sort of indigestion.. Regular exercise is a must ..next meals or other snacks be consumed ONLY AFTER the til laddu is digested well and hunger resurfaces again

2. Another important utility is when there is bleeding per rectum.. like a bloody diarrhea. .

Caution : of course we have to rule out any kind of other pathology/ cancer / ulcerative colitis/ Crohn’s disease- which has blood per rectum with mucus and pus .

Agreed, but as a simple first aid, folks here in Kerala use the combination of milk finely triturated /rubbed in sesame seed about 6 to 10 grams is usually fine for one dose.Goat milk is preferred but if unavailable plain cow milk is fine too. Bleeding stops after 4 to 5 doses ..that is by next day or 3 rd day

3. Important enough, it is utilized in the conditions of healthy hair growth. Sesame assumes importance in growing children and the 60 yrs plus elderly .It is known for its high levels of calcium , magnesium ,vitamin B6 and iron .

4. For people who wish to have strong bone health and better health , Til /sesame is a RASAYANA which is utilized as one closed palmful/ fistful of til very well chewed and grinded inside mouth itself and made into a fine paste and then only swallowed and boiled and cooled [ not cold , not refrigerated water] water consumed on top of it .

5 . Ladies in Kerala utilize til laddu for more breast milk production too , apart from regulating monthly menses cycles, a separate video of that will be made.
