Booking & Advance Payment
For every booking to be confirmed, an advance payment is requested. This advance payment is due directly after the client has placed a binding booking at the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre. The advance payment equals 100% of the total costs of the client’s stay. The advance payment can be made either by using the online payment gateway provided on our website www.theathreya.com or via bank transfer. In case of bank transfers, clients are kindly asked to ensure that the exact amount is credited and transfer charges are not levied on the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre.
After the respective advance payment, has been received by the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre, the client will receive an e-mail confirming his booking.
Please note: Should the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre not receive the advance payment latest 1 week after the binding booking of the client, the booking is considered invalid. In that case, the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre has the right to make the space available to other clients.
This payment can be made either:

In case of bank transfer payments, clients are requested to provide a written proof or receipt of their successful transaction to the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre administration . Clients are kindly asked to ensure that the exact amount is credited and transfer charges are not levied on the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre. Please note: If the payment is late due to reasons not accounted for by the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre, all treatments will have to be halted until the required sum is balanced.
If the client wishes to order some ‘after care’ medications after having been consulted by the treating doctors, the respective costs has to be settled before the last 4 days of the stay. The same is valid for all other optional on-site costs for additional services such as laundry service. Such payments can be made either:
in cash or
via credit/debit card (+2% service fee).
In the case of a client/s behaving very rude , racist, making bad humour fun, intimidating and harshly-[ directly or indirectly – verbally or physically or by social media or mobile texts or WhatsApp or any means- ]causing hurting , humiliation , trauma to the psyche of the staff and doctors of Athreya Ayurveda centre, Athreya reserves the right to cancel the ongoing booking and request the client to leave the campus of Athreya with immediate effect .
The conditions of finance policy which the client has agreed before making the booking – will apply in such cases and no refunds will be made. Athreya management reserves the rights to report this to the law enforcing agencies as an act of seeking justice for the abuse caused by such insulting clients.
Cancellations & Refund Policy
In order to provide all clients of the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre an equal chance to book our capacities for treatments, any client is requested to inform the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre about cancellation intentions as soon as possible. Decisive for the number of days applicable to the cancellation fees below is the time of the information which needs to arrive at Athreya Ayurvedic Centre in a written form (e-mail) before 5 p.m. local time on a working day. If the cancellation information arrives later than 5 p.m. local time, it is automatically counted to the next working day, as it can only be processed then.
The cancellation fees are:
From 1 April to 31 May
More than 1 day before planned arrival date 95% amount will be refunded.
Less than 1 day before planned arrival date 10,000 INR (ten thousand Indian Rupees)
Cancellations or changes during the stay, amount after deducting the number of days stayed and availed treatments.
From 1 June to 31 March
During this time, there won’t be any refunds for cancellations. The client can change the booking dates if there is availability without extra charge until the same season until 31 March. If there is no scope of coming at all , the client can use this amount for services of Athreya Ayurvedic Centre in the future for the tariff applicable at that time up to 3 years of reservation date subject to availability. Additionally the booking can be transferred to person of his/ her choice [ family or friends] if the client cannot make a travel to Athreya
All costs and payments are applicable in Indian Rupees (INR), if not stated otherwise by the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre. The client is kindly requested to ensure that the exact amount of INR is paid to the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre, considering that there might be fluctuations in the currency exchange rates. In case of doubt, the exchange rate of the day of payment (checked via Google) is applicable. In case of refunds, possible fluctuations in the currency exchange rates might cause a slightly different sum to be refunded. The client is aware of this possibility when placing his binding booking, as the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre cannot be held responsible for such fluctuations and can only refund payment amounts which it has actually received in INR.

About the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre:
The Athreya Ayurvedic Centre is located at the Southern end of India in the state of Kerala, close to the city of Kottayam, surrounded by green paddy fields and close to the famous Backwaters. The focus of Athreya is authentic Ayurveda combined with a sustainable and customized care for each patient. This is the reason why it has been certified with the “Green Leaf Award” by the Ministry of Tourism of Kerala. Also TripAdvisor recommends the Athreya Ayurvedic Centre with its “Certificate of Excellence 2015” as well as the “Travellers’ Choice Award 2015 and 2017. The centre is run by a family of doctors which looks back on more than five generations of Ayurvedic traditions. The accommodations, 16 cottages and 8 double rooms, are sustainably built in traditional Kerala wooden architecture. The meals are home-made and according to the Ayurvedic chart of right food.
